Screen for Active Straight Leg Raise findings.
Execution
- 1Lie supine with both legs straight and arms at sides
- 2Keep the non-test leg flat and toes up
- 3Raise the test leg with the knee straight as high as possible
- 4Stop before the pelvis tilts or the other leg lifts
- 5Compare left vs right range
Key Observations
- Ability to raise the leg without compensation
- Pelvic rotation suggests stability deficit
Protocol
- 1Observe from: lateral.
- 2Standardize start position and instructions.
- 3Perform 2-3 trials per side when applicable.
- 4Record key observations and any positive indicators.
- 5Compare left vs right when applicable.
