Execution
- 1Lie supine with hip and knee at 90 deg
- 2Stabilize the pelvis
- 3Move the lower leg inward to create hip external rotation
- 4Stop at end range without pelvic tilt
- 5Compare sides
Key Observations
- Normal 40-60 deg
- Restriction suggests posterior capsule or piriformis
Protocol
- 1Observe from: supine.
- 2Standardize start position and instructions.
- 3Perform 2-3 trials per side when applicable.
- 4Record key observations and any positive indicators.
- 5Compare left vs right when applicable.
