Navicular Drop Test

Purpose

Screen for Navicular Drop findings.

Execution

1. 1Find and mark the navicular tuberosity
2. 2Measure navicular height in seated neutral foot
3. 3Stand and measure navicular height again
4. 4Calculate the drop between seated and standing
5. 5Compare sides

Key Observations

• Measure navicular height seated vs standing
• >10 mm indicates excessive pronation

1. 1Observe from: medial.
2. 2Standardize start position and instructions.
3. 3Perform 2-3 trials per side when applicable.
4. 4Record key observations and any positive indicators.
5. 5Compare left vs right when applicable.
